The 2010 France-Israel Foundation Award For Academic Excellence in the field of Water
The foundation was created in 2005, having a charter to promote friendly relationships between the two civil societies in all fields of science and technology, economy, culture and art. The France-Israel Foundation is the only organisation that gathers under its roof both states, civil societies, and business elements.
The Scientific Committee of this Foundation has created an award to recognize Academic Excellence.
The prize will be given each year to one French and one Israeli researcher at the early stage of their academic careers (less than 10 years of independent academic research experience or less than 45 years old). The nominees should be well-known and well-respected by their peers and by the members of the committee, working in similar fields and recognized for the excellence of their work.
The amount of 5,000 Euros will be awarded in a ceremony to take place in Paris.
For the year 2010, the Science Committee has selected the field of “Water” with a particular emphasis on hydrology, water management and wastewater treatment.
